Comedian Heather McDonald collapsed on stage, fractured skull, during an entertainment show in Tempe, Arizona, on Saturday night.

Taking to her Instagram story on the night of Feb. 5, the 51-year-old standup comedian addressed her fans from the hospital, explaining how she passed out on stage.

“So, I’m in the emergency room, I look weird,” she began. “Oh my God, I’m so, so, so, so sorry. She then explained that she “passed out on stage.”

“I got up, I did one joke and I felt so dizzy,” McDonald recalled. “You can see my eye, I fell on my eye. Oh my God, I cannot believe this happened, I feel so terrible that they had to tell everyone to leave and then cancel the second show.”

The entertainer, who said this was the first time she fainted in her life, insisted that she’ll return to Tempe in the future.

A representative for McDonald told NBC Phoenix that the star suffered a skull fracture from the fall and that she “may have lost consciousness because of dehydration.”

On Sunday, McDonald’s management announced that the star might be discharged from hospital today, adding that she tested negative for coronavirus.

On Friday night, McDonald had performed at the Improv theater and was set to perform back-to-back shows on Saturday until she fainted.

According to TMZ’s reports, McDonald, at the top of the show, joked about COVID-19 vaccines and fell to the floor. According to the outlet, the audience thought the collapse was part of the joke. In the audience were a pair of medical professionals who offered assistance on stage.

Speaking to TMZ, the comedian said she was taken to the hospital by her sister-in-law, who was in the audience. McDonald said she underwent multiple tests, including a CT scan, but what exactly caused her to collapse remains unclear.

She added that she is feeling severe pain in her head and feeling very weak. McDonald, however, looked very healthy when she arrived on stage.

We pray that McDonald fully recovers from her injuries quickly and gets back to making people laugh, which is something that the nation needs at this time.
