A former data science manager at Twitter is planning to sue Elon Musk for firing her while six months pregnant. As Musk began slashing jobs last week, Shennan Lu was one of many workers who were laid off. She subsequently took to Twitter to blast the Elon Musk-led company’s handling of the situation.

In a series of now-deleted tweets, according to Insider, Lu wrote:

“My Twitter journey has come to an end, I got laid off while I’m 6-month pregnant. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you. I’m very thankful to lead such an amazing [data science] team, it’s been a fun ride. #LoveWhereYouWorked. There is definitely discrimination here. So I will fight. My performance has been tracking ahead (top 30%) for the last quarters, and I know for a fact that other male managers don’t have this rating got stayed. See you in the court.”

Currently, Lu’s Twitter account does not exist. It is not clear if the account was taken offline by the company or if she deleted it herself. Lu was employed by Twitter last January. Before joining the company, she had worked at Facebook and Comcast, holding similar roles.

Last week, many Twitter workers who were fired used the platform to announce they had lost their jobs. An eight months pregnant worker, Rachel Bonn, a former marketing manager at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters, said she lost laptop access and was laid off despite her condition, The Post reported.

A group of laid-off Twitter workers has already sued the company, accusing Musk’s team of failing to issue adequate notice before beginning the layoffs.

Last week, while defending his decision to conduct the mass layoffs, Musk argued he had no choice but to make cuts due to Twitter’s precarious financial situation. According to India Today, Elon Musk has fired virtually all of Twitter’s India staff.
