A Pennsylvania emergency medical technician is facing a charge of indecent assault after authorities say he exposed a female patient’s breasts and took photographs while she was semi-conscious in the back of an ambulance. According to police, the patient’s trauma escalated even further after the alleged assault while under the care of the EMT.
Authorities say the incident occurred on Thursday, August 25, when the victim was being transported by ambulance from a medical facility in Brookhaven to a local hospital for further treatment.
On the way to the local hospital, police say the woman, who was semi-conscious at the time, was reportedly exposed and photographed in the back of the ambulance by an EMT who was caring for her.
The Philadelphia EMT, identified as Kevin Hakeem Pressley, 24, was apprehended and charged with indecent assault, invasion of privacy and related charges. He was held on a $100,000 bond.
Pressley was working for the Brookhaven Fire Company Ambulance when he allegedly assaulted the patient.
However, investigators say Pressley had worked for other medical providers in the past, and are asking any other potential victims to come forward.
