The following graduate scholarships are available to students at the University of Hawaii:
Hawaii Graduate Scholarships (HGS) – This scholarship is awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate financial need and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Awards range from $5,000 to $20,000 per year.
The Walter J. Dillingham Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a highly qualified student who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career with the military or public service sector. Awards range from $2,500 to $10,000 per year.
The Jae Sook Chang Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a highly qualified student who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in medicine or nursing. Awards range from $2,500 to $10,000 per year.

- Complete at least 36 semester hours of course work at the University of Hawaii

- Not have achieved a GRE score above 150th percentile on the verbal, quantitative, or analytical sections (Verbal scaled score range: 550 to 1600; Quantitative scaled score range: 800 to 3000; Analytical scaled score range: 1400 to 4000)
